This website is focused on German primary sources on the following topics:

Aim is to provide a systematic compilation of German statistics related to military casualties and civilian losses in World War II. Among the military casualties, a particular focus will be set on prisoners of war, which includes comprehensive statistics from the OKH and OKW administrations.

Statistics of civilian losses include extensive information on the losses from Allied air raids, flight and expulsion from the Eastern provinces, the Jewish losses due to deportations from Germany, as well as war and post-war vital statistics for the German population compared to other countries.

Statistics of German Jewish losses are based on contemporary compilations of the Reich Association of Jews. A more detailed analysis of these statistics and comparison with information from transport lists is presented on the following website (in German language): www.statistik-des-holocaust.de.
